The Roxbury Arts Alliance welcomes the extraordinary vocal talents of Rhonda Denét, who, accompanied by the Silver Fox Songs Trio, will perform a review of classic rhythm & blues and soul celebrating a time when this primarily African-American genre crossed over to mainstream audiences. Featured songs were made famous by female artists Mary Wells, Martha & The Vandellas, The Supremes, and Dionne Warwick as well as male artists Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and others. After celebrating many of the artists who have influenced her, Rhonda will share some of her original music.
